So… What the hell is even Bavtac?

Well, it all started a few years ago when I was sitting there looking at hop-up nubs for my beloved MWS, thinking, “Why are they all so… round?” It didn’t take long before I was chefing up a storm CAD-ing and prototyping hop-up nubs that not only fit the MWS without modification, but were noticeably less rotund. After that, honestly, it’s all been a bit of a blur until now (Nov 2025). Luckily, I’ve had amazing support from you, the customers, and I honestly couldn’t ask for better!

Who the hell is even Bavtac?

More man than myth/legend, that’s for sure! Originally a self-taught TIG welder specializing in the automotive sector, I spent a good few years doing that before I found my real love… strong Black women.
No, but seriously... MACHINING. It was definitely machining.

In late 2023, I saved up all my pocket money and managed to snag my first CNC machine. Exciting, I know. The machine in question was my lathe: a Mazak SQT200M, an 8" lathe with live tooling. After that, I poked about and pushed a few buttons until I learned just enough to bamboozle people into thinking I know what I’m doing.

What's next? 

To be quite honest with all three of you who will bother reading this, I’m not really sure. The plan is to move forward making cool shit that’s the best quality possible, but since when do things ever go to plan? There are some really cool ideas I’d love to see become reality, but it’s all very hush-hush top secret stuff, I promise.
